YourPokerDream.com has a long history and was founded in 2010. The road has not always been easy, and in the early years in particular, YourPokerDream had to contend with numerous challenges and made a few mistakes along the way. Since the takeover by a new, ambitious team in 2021, however, there have been almost exclusively positive things to report. This is mainly due to the clear values and principles by which YourPokerDream operates.
We would never claim to be the best affiliate in the industry or that only our opinion counts. But we are proud to say that YourPokerDream has become one of the largest poker affiliates in the world, with a sustainable business model and ethical principles that are unfortunately rare in today’s industry.
In a nutshell, we can say: It has to be a win-win situation for everyone involved!
Transparency! Respect! Be fair and respect agreements! Communication! These are the values that YourPokerDream stands for and by which we work.
How does YourPokerDream differ from other affiliates?
- When it comes to transparency, we always give the user all the information we have and explain our promotions, rakeback deals and the poker room’s general offer in great detail. This also includes addressing certain disadvantages or negative aspects of a poker room, because each of our partners has weaknesses. Nobody is perfect. We don’t promise deals we can’t deliver; we educate our players fully on the subject of net cashback and are open about expectations and possible risks of a deal in the future. Sometimes we are simply not allowed to offer any rakeback deals at specific partner sites, or simply can’t, and also in such cases, we explain everything very transparently.
- We never talk badly about the competition, even if we know that this is unfortunately not so, as they work, especially with a certain other affiliate. Many work shady and try to harm us at every opportunity or talk bad. However, as we do not offer a target, this is difficult, but it is still attempted time and again. We, on the other hand, let others go their own way and concentrate entirely on our own work.
- We are not a pure rakeback affiliate. Our work does not consist exclusively of offering rakeback deals at all poker rooms. Of course, we also have such offers with some of our partners, but our focus is more on casual players and on offering real added value to the general poker market. A big problem in the industry is that more than two thirds of affiliates are pure rakeback providers whose main business is to poach players and lure them in with higher deals
Providing good customer support to players is not always easy
We always do our best to offer all players the best possible support. Unfortunately, we often encounter unfriendly and disrespectful people who think they can get away with anything. When things don’t go exactly as some would like, we hear statements like: “Your only job is to offer rakeback and nothing else”, “How stupid are you?”, “Fuck you”, or “You’re ridiculous, other affiliates offer it too”. These are just a few examples.
Our response to this is clear and consistent: anyone who can’t behave and only stands out due to their arrogant and disrespectful behaviour is blocked in the chat and no longer receives a reply by email. It’s as simple as that. Fortunately, this only affects around ten per cent of players. The vast majority are friendly and respectful, and we are of course happy to help these users. We can be reached 365 days a year and are available in chat via Telegram for almost ten hours a day, something that no other affiliate can offer in this form.
Occasionally, we hear that we come across as unfriendly, although we always endeavour to remain polite and professional. However, when a player approaches us every few weeks with exactly the same question that we have already answered countless times, it understandably becomes exhausting for our support team.
Especially with our partner GGPoker, there are always last-minute changes and unexpected decisions that directly affect us as an affiliate, most recently in June of this year. We understand very well that such developments are frustrating for players, as we are also affected by them. However, there is no point in aggressively attacking our support team or YourPokerDream in general, as we do not have any influence. Again, fortunately we are only talking about a very small minority.
YourPokerDream always pursues the goal of getting the maximum for you players and for the community. That’s why we communicate transparently, honestly and openly.
Transparency, respect for the poker community and affiliates also applies to poker rooms
Let’s face it, our industry is not the most honest and cleanest. A word or an agreement often doesn’t count for much or only for a limited period of time. Written contracts are the exception rather than the rule, and many poker rooms try to cut commissions for affiliates as soon as they get bigger. Previous agreements are rarely honoured. This is unfortunate, but unfortunately not uncommon in our industry.
Fortunately, YourPokerDream has so far been largely spared this, apart from a few isolated cases with two of our partners. However, it has to be said that one of these partners made a decision that caused us enormous economic damage. We reacted immediately and redirected the majority of our traffic back in the past. Of course, this doesn’t work with all the traffic, but only for about half of the players, and only if we know them and have their contact details. Out of respect for this poker room, with which we continue to work, we do not wish to mention any names at this time.
We have also had problems with smaller poker rooms in the past. Based on these experiences, we have decided to only accept such providers under very strict conditions and only if a one-off payment is made at the beginning. A current example is CoinPoker. We had long refused to accept this provider and only did so at the express request of a person we trusted. Two months later, this person was no longer there and the problems began. In the end, YourPokerDream was scammed by CoinPoker.
Even though many poker rooms consider themselves untouchable, neither affiliates nor players should accept everything. We stand up for our players as well as for the community and our own interests. YourPokerDream will never cover up unfair behaviour by poker rooms or hide unpleasant truths. The community and the poker world as a whole deserves transparent and honest communication.
When something is good, we say it’s good. If something is going badly, we are just as open about it. Only together are we strong, and both players and affiliates should never forget that.
You can talk to us at any time. We are always open to compromises and solution-orientated discussions with our partners. But if someone tries to deceive us, put us under pressure or cheat us, we reserve the right to react accordingly. Thanks to our large network, our strong community of over 250,000 players and our successful SEO work, we have the means and the reach to respond appropriately to such behaviour.
